Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrus Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshida Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrus Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoshida Kimura!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson clinches with his opponent.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wilson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kimura checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kimura bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wilson's head.
Wilson shoots in looking for a takedown. Kimura tries to sprawl out of it but Wilson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kimura manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kimura gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Wilson counters by moving into the clinch.
Kimura is looking to break free of the clinch but Wilson has double underhooks.
Kimura fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Wilson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kimura up against the cage.

Wilson manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson has Kimura pulled in close to control his posture.
Kimura throws a big right hand that misses.
Wilson has his hands on Kimura's head, controlling the position.
Kimura wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving.

Kimura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wilson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Wilson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kimura manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wilson with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilson is pushing down on Kimura's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kimura is fighting to maintain full guard but Wilson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wilson controlling the pace.
Kimura is trying to maintain the position but Wilson is very close to passing his half guard.
Kimura tries to roll over but Wilson keeps him under control.
Kimura really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wilson works his foot free and advances to mount.
Wilson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Wilson has control of Kimura's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kimura regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wilson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Wilson tries to control but Kimura wriggling away.
Wilson landing strikes from the mount.
Kimura takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
BOOM! Wilson connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kimura is trying desperately to improve position.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyrus Wilson dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wilson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kimura wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wilson is figuring out what he wants to do next.

so Wilson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Tyrus Wilson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wilson stands up and waves to Kimura to follow him.

Kimura tries to land a front kick but Wilson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Wilson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilson lands in his opponent's guard.

Kimura throws a right hand that Wilson ducks under and follows up with a left that Wilson also avoids with ease.

Kimura tries to bum rush Wilson with a series of wild strikes but Wilson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wilson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kimura!
