Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rolando Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bahamut Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Deuces as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rolando Garcia! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bahamut Johnson! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson feints and as Garcia raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Johnson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Garcia is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnson is aware though and is defending well. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garcia swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Garcia working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson scoring with punches and elbows. Johnson takes a little break here. Garcia wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. I looks like Johnson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson scores with a couple of short elbows. Johnson throws an elbow but Garcia slips to the side and avoids it well. Johnson decides to stand back up. Johnson steps back and let's Garcia get back to his feet. Garcia tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Garcia being controlled here, momentarily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Johnson stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Garcia has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Johnson manages to get his head free but now Garcia has transitioned to an armbar! Johnson grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Garcia! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rolando Garcia! Rolando Garcia is the new middleweight champion!
