Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Van Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Leeroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Stir It Up. Leeroy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Boondocks Theme Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Van Kelly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Van Kelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Leeroy! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly works Leeroy's body with a nice hook. Leeroy listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Leeroy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kelly did well to prevent Leeroy getting side control. Kelly controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Kelly moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Leeroy stays in close to Kelly's body and controls the position. Kelly looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leeroy is one step ahead there. Kelly working for submissions but it's allowed Leeroy to get to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Leeroy prevents Kelly from improving his position. Leeroy working the head and body with strikes. Leeroy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kelly is staying active underneath Leeroy, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Leeroy is looking for a kimura but Kelly is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Leeroy to get the leverage. Kelly is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Leeroy pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leeroy winds up and cracks Kelly with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Leeroy passes the guard and advances to mount! Leeroy lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Leeroy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leeroy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kelly is looking to escape. Kelly is looking to improve his position but Leeroy isn't that keen on the idea. Leeroy looking to control but Kelly is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kelly tries to lock up and control but Leeroy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kelly is looking to improve his position but Leeroy isn't that keen on the idea. Leeroy lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly is working hard here to advance position. Leeroy landing strikes from the mount. Leeroy lands a big shot there that rocks Kelly but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Leeroy lands a big elbow. Leeroy controlling his opponent. Leeroy unloading with bombs! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kelly tries to buck Leeroy off but he can't manage it. Leeroy with the ground and pound from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Leeroy dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kelly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leeroy was well out of range. Poor timing from Kelly. Leeroy slips under a jab from Kelly. Leeroy looks to throw the jab but Kelly is out of range. Leeroy changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kelly throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Leeroy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kelly. Leeroy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A looping hook to the body misses from Kelly. Leeroy does a little dance to reset his feet. Kelly swings and misses with a shot to the body and Leeroy counters with a nice uppercut. Kelly throws a hook to the side of Leeroy's head but Leeroy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed right hand from Leeroy misses the target. Leeroy throws a hook but Kelly avoids it easily. Kelly scores with a nice strike. Leeroy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Leeroy throws a good cross that connects.

Leeroy gets a takedown into half guard. Leeroy working Kelly over with strikes. Leeroy prevents Kelly from improving his position. Kelly has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Leeroy is working away from the top position though. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Leeroy lands a nice short elbow. Kelly is staying active underneath Leeroy, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kelly tries to get to full guard but Leeroy has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leeroy trying to pass the guard but Kelly defending well. Leeroy passes to side control. Kelly is looking to regain half guard here but Leeroy keeps moving and retains side control. Leeroy working the head with strikes. Kelly struggling a bit here. Kelly looks to move to half guard but instead Leeroy has passed into mount! Damn! Kelly gets back to half guard. Kelly trying to get back to full guard but Leeroy takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Leeroy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leeroy content just to control the position here. Leeroy looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kelly tries to lock up and control but Leeroy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Leeroy in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Leeroy pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Leeroy working Kelly over with strikes here. Leeroy content just to control the position here. Kelly tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leeroy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kelly's face.

Bruce Leeroy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Van Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kelly moves out of range as Leeroy strikes. Kelly swings for the body but Leeroy moves out of range.
Kelly wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Leeroy throws a nice looking combination but Kelly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly misses with a wild body shot. Kelly scores with a nice head shot. Leeroy scores with a punch to the head. Kelly thuds a left hand into Leeroy's body. Leeroy misses the jab. Leeroy goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Leeroy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kelly defending well as Leeroy loads up on a big left hand. Leeroy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kelly's head. Leeroy missing with a left hand there. Kelly was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A big right from Kelly misses. Leeroy swings away with a leg kick that misses. Leeroy stuns Kelly with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Leeroy looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Kelly throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Van Kelly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kelly is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Leeroy.

and Leeroy counters with a left to the body. Leeroy fails to land with a series of punches.
Leeroy waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kelly. Leeroy shoots in looking for a takedown. Kelly tries to sprawl out of it but Leeroy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kelly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bruce Leeroy seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kelly comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Leeroy throws a lazy right hand but Kelly sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Leeroy fails to land the takedown. Kelly throws a big shot that misses. Leeroy tries to score with a low kick but Kelly moves his leg out of the way. Kelly throws a combination that misses and Leeroy counters with a series of strikes. Kelly will be more careful next time no doubt. Leeroy has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Leeroy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kelly.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Leeroy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bruce Leeroy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Leeroy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kelly swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kelly is looking for a triangle but Leeroy pushes his legs off easily.
Leeroy sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kelly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Leeroy is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Leeroy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kelly looking for a guillotine here but Leeroy defends easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Bruce Leeroy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Leeroy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
