Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Stinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phoenix's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, WorldWide Gunnin'. Barney Stinson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Phoenix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barney Stinson! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stinson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Phoenix.
Stinson fails in his attempt to clinch. Some wild striking there from Phoenix.
Stinson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Phoenix throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stinson. Stinson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Stinson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Phoenix works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stinson wants to control from the top but Phoenix keeps moving. Phoenix is looking to stand up but Stinson isn't so interested in that idea. Stinson drops back looking for a leg! Phoenix is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Phoenix manages to kick Stinson off! Stinson jumps back into Phoenix's guard. Stinson stops Phoenix from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phoenix preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Phoenix wants to stand up but Stinson is controlling him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Stinson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Phoenix slaps away a takedown attempt from Stinson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Stinson looks gassed! Stinson shoots in but Phoenix avoids the takedown attempt easily. Paul Phoenix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barney Stinson. Phoenix goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Phoenix drops Stinson with a left right combo! Phoenix follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Barney Stinson has been cut. Phoenix knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stinson on the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Phoenix cracks Stinson with a big elbow.
Stinson is rocked! Phoenix lands a strong strike to the head of Stinson. That's dazed him! Phoenix looking to finish here. Stinson is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Phoenix lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Phoenix!
