Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Herman Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Cavalera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axel Cavalera told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cavalera is looking to break free of the clinch but Franks has double underhooks.
Franks has had enough of the clinch but Cavalera keeps him there for the moment.
Cavalera wants to get back to striking at distance but Franks won't allow it.

It looks like Herman Franks has been cut.
Franks throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cavalera stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Franks throws a series of punches but Cavalera avoids them all with ease.
Franks is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cavalera.

and Franks counters with a one-two to the body.
Cavalera throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No joy there for Cavalera, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Franks controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Franks gets to his feet - Cavalera follows without any prompting.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
