PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck McNorris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Error Sneed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Error Sneed told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck McNorris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Error Sneed!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sneed scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
McNorris is looking to regain half guard here but Sneed keeps moving and retains side control.
McNorris is not content to let Sneed control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McNorris tries to buck Sneed off but Sneed is having none of it.
Sneed tries to move into full mount but can't pass McNorris's legs.
Sneed advances to full mount.
McNorris wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Sneed.
McNorris tries to reverse the position but Sneed maintains control.

Sneed thowing shots but they're missing.
Sneed looking to control but McNorris is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
McNorris really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Sneed manages to capitalize on a mistake by McNorris to take his back!

Sneed is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. McNorris is defending well though. Sneed let's go of the attempt for now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sneed is on top in guard.

McNorris wants to sweep here but Sneed controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Nice takedown defense from McNorris. No joy for Sneed on that attempt.

McNorris feints and as Sneed raises his hands in defense, McNorris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McNorris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sneed avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
McNorris is working Sneed over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Sneed wants to hit a switch here but McNorris passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sneed there!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McNorris cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
McNorris postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sneed looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chuck McNorris will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ouch! a nice leg kick from McNorris, right into the meat.
McNorris lands with a straight right. Sneed didn't see that one coming.


It looks like Error Sneed has been cut.

McNorris closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sneed did well to prevent McNorris getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McNorris throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

McNorris wants to work for an arm triangle but Sneed is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Sneed takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McNorris is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sneed is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sneed tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McNorris wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
McNorris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sneed keeps working.
Sneed is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

McNorris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Chuck McNorris just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Sneed takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
McNorris lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sneed takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McNorris shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McNorris showed some decent athleticism there.
Sneed is not content to let McNorris control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Sneed has his foot on McNorris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McNorris works his way back into a safe position though.

Well McNorris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
