0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyler Durden! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durden looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fear is fending him off so far but Durden persists. Nope, Fear circles away and we're back to standing. Durden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fear paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fear misses with a few strikes there.
Durden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fear closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fear seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Fear is tying to control. Durden wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fear tries to pass to full mount but Durden defends it. Fear is looking to take a break and control but Durden is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Durden manages to escape and get back to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Durden wants to stand but Fear is controlling his posture from full guard. Fear is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Fear is working hard to pass the guard. Durden tries to bum rush Fear with a series of wild strikes but Fear uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Durden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fear tries to avoid it but Durden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fear to the ground. Fear escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Durden throws a head kick that misses and Fear counters with a single leg into guard. Durden didn't expect that. Durden pushes Fear off and scrambles back to his feet.
