Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lao Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Masuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Masuka acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lao Kong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Masuka! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masuka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kong throws a sloppy head kick and Masuka moves out of range easily. Kong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Masuka's guard. Kong content to stall in guard here. Masuka throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Masuka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Masuka is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kong is stalling in the full guard. Kong forces his way into half guard. Kong is keen to just control but Masuka is a slippery customer. Masuka trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Kong manages to pass to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Masuka is desperately trying to improve his position but Kong has a good base and remains in mount. Masuka gets back to half guard. Masuka pushes Kong off looking to stand but Kong dives back in and keeps control.
Masuka is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kong in particular looking to stall. Kong is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kong trying to control but Masuka is having none of it. Kong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kong has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kong tries to control but Masuka wriggling away. Kong landing shots from mount. Kong is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Masuka is surviving well by controlling Kong's body position as best he can. Masuka can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Masuka regains half guard. Kong is looking to take a break and control but Masuka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Masuka wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Masuka trying to control but Kong postures up.
Kong is looking for a kimura but Masuka is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kong to get the leverage. Kong is breathing heavily. Kong is looking to take a break and control but Masuka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Lao Kong just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Masuka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kong avoids it really well and circles away. Masuka will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Masuka has his takedown stuffed and Kong counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Masuka! Lao Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Masuka. Kong trying to control but he's not successful this time. Masuka really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Masuka is squirming around, avoiding Kong's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lao Kong dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kong scores with a takedown into Masuka's guard. Masuka is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kong passes Masuka's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Masuka is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kong's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kong's back! Masuka trying to control. Masuka throwing sloppy strikes. Kong manages to reverse the position and now he's in Masuka's guard. Nice work there by Kong.

That's one minute gone in the round. Masuka throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Masuka. A looping hook to the body misses from Masuka. Kong does a little dance to reset his feet. Masuka throws a head kick that misses. Masuka moves in looking to clinch but Kong pushes him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Masuka throws a head kick that misses. Kong misses with a body punch
and Masuka counters with a shoot takedown. Kong fights it but they end up in guard. Masuka is breathing heavily. Masuka avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Masuka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Masuka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kong working for a triangle but Masuka defends it easily.
Kong looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Masuka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Masuka wants to get up but he can't break Kong's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Masuka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Masuka stopping the sweep attempt from Kong. Masuka wants to pass the guard but Kong is keeping the position. Kong being controlled here, momentarily. Masuka wants to control from the top but Kong keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Masuka tries to close the distance and clinch but Kong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Masuka.
Donk. Kong catches Masuka right on the button with a cross. Kong's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Kong duly obliges. Kong throws a hook but Masuka blocks it. Masuka clinches but Kong breaks the clinch and Kong counters with a left to the body. Nice takedown defense from Kong. No joy for Masuka on that attempt. Kong dives in and grabs Masuka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Masuka pushes down on Kong's head and hops out. Masuka throws a head kick that Kong semi-blocks.
Kong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Masuka was covering up waiting for the punch and Kong finishes the takedown easily into guard. Masuka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kong gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lao Kong dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Kong closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Masuka did well to prevent Kong getting side control. Kong trying to control the action but Masuka is working from the bottom. Masuka is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kong not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Masuka is staying active underneath Kong, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kong is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Masuka is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lao Kong!
