The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Lima fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sapp avoids it really well and circles away.
Sapp scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sapp shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
de Lima has hold of Sapp's hands but Sapp slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sapp looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks de Lima with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
de Lima is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sapp pulls his head out easily.
Sapp really doesn't want to stay on the ground with de Lima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
de Lima pushes Sapp off looking to stand but Sapp dives back in and keeps control.
de Lima is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sapp pulls his head out easily.
de Lima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sapp is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Sapp looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
