Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Javier Hernandez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Forrest Griffin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Javier Hernandez! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Hernandez. Hernandez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Griffin is trying to stand up here but Hernandez is controlling him well. Hernandez stalling. Griffin looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hernandez lands strikes from half guard. Griffin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hernandez is working away from the top position though. Hernandez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Griffin's head. Hernandez stalling. Griffin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hernandez lands strikes from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez trying to control the pace. Let's hope that Hernandez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hernandez wants to stand up but Griffin has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Griffin tries to roll over but Hernandez keeps him under control. Well, if Hernandez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Hernandez prevents Griffin from improving his position. Griffin is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hernandez tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Hernandez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Griffin trying to control from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hernandez connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Hernandez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hernandez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hernandez stopping the sweep attempt from Griffin. Hernandez stops Griffin from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griffin keeping moving, preventing Hernandez from controlling successfully. Hernandez tries to free his leg and advance position but Griffin is retaining full guard. Hernandez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hernandez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Griffin keeping moving, preventing Hernandez from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Griffin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hernandez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Griffin's guard now. Griffin is breathing heavily. Hernandez looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Javier Hernandez dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A head kick from Hernandez lands but Griffin takes it in his stride. Griffin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hernandez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Griffin won't be happy with that. Hernandez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Griffin some visible discomfort.
Hernandez tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Hernandez is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Griffin's shoulder. That is not cool. Hernandez has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Griffin! Hernandez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Griffin is trying desperately to improve position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hernandez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Griffin is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin manages to regain half guard. Good work. Griffin is looking to control Hernandez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Griffin avoid being mounted? Hernandez sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hernandez working over Griffin with some ground and pound. Griffin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hernandez is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hernandez controlling the action here. Hernandez is stalling here. Griffin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hernandez seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Griffin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Despite being in the dominant position, Javier Hernandez just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A looping hook to the body misses from Griffin. Hernandez does a little dance to reset his feet. Hernandez scoring well with a low kick there.

Javier Hernandez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Griffin swats away the attempt to clinch by Hernandez. Hernandez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Griffin's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hernandez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hernandez looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Hernandez wants to stand but Griffin has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hernandez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Griffin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Griffin has escaped and now he's on top! Hernandez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin wants to control from the top but Hernandez keeps moving. Hernandez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hernandez tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Griffin. Hernandez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Griffin is trying to stand up here but Hernandez is controlling him well. Griffin is looking to control Hernandez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Griffin avoid being mounted? Griffin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Griffin. Hernandez sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hernandez wants to pass the guard but Griffin is keeping the position. Hernandez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Griffin trying to control the position.

Hernandez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Griffin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hernandez has Griffin in his guard. Forrest Griffin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Javier Hernandez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hernandez wants to stand and escape but Griffin is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Javier Hernandez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hernandez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
