Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Freeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hubert Parada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hubert Parada!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parada shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Freeney is trying to defend but Parada finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Freeney is not content to let Parada control the position.

Parada seems to be working for a kimura but Freeney defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parada passes to side control.

Parada tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Parada has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Freeney is looking for a sweep.

Parada thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Freeney tries to bench press Parada off him but Parada keeps the position.
Freeney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Parada is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Freeney is trying to escape and Parada transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Freeney is forced to tap! Nice work there by Parada! Very nice indeed!
