Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alhassan Kwadwo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gian Matteo Ranzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alhassan Kwadwo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gian Matteo Ranzi! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ranzi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kwadwo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ranzi somewhat. Ranzi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick misses from Kwadwo. Ranzi wants to clinch up but Kwadwo keeps it at a distance. Kwadwo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ranzi. Kwadwo throws a big shot that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ranzi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kwadwo misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwadwo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ranzi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

A clash of legs there as Ranzi blocks the low kick. Kwadwo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Ranzi moves out of range of the body kick. Kwadwo gets the takedown into side control. Ranzi is looking to regain half guard here but Kwadwo keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ranzi is not content to let Kwadwo control the position. Ranzi tries to buck Kwadwo off but Kwadwo is having none of it. Kwadwo is looking to take a break and control but Ranzi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kwadwo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ranzi on the ground. Kwadwo looks up at the clock and then as Ranzi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kwadwo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ranzi tries to buck Kwadwo off but Kwadwo is having none of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ranzi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Kwadwo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ranzi sprawls well initially but Kwadwo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ranzi looking for submissions off his back. Ranzi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kwadwo pulls his head out easily. Kwadwo trying to control the action but Ranzi is working from the bottom. Kwadwo works his foot free and advances to mount. Kwadwo trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kwadwo landing punches. Kwadwo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ranzi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ranzi shrugs it off. Kwadwo landing strikes from the mount and Ranzi is in trouble!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kwadwo working Ranzi over with strikes here. Ranzi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kwadwo putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kwadwo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kwadwo lands with some strikes. Ranzi is looking to get to half guard. Kwadwo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ranzi looks a forlorn figure.
Ranzi tries to reverse the position but Kwadwo maintains control. The referee warns Ranzi that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Ranzi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kwadwo with good strikes from the mount here! BOOM! Kwadwo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Alhassan Kwadwo dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kwadwo scores with a jab to the jaw.
Ranzi is rocked! Kwadwo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kwadwo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kwadwo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kwadwo showed some decent athleticism there. Kwadwo is taking a breather. Ranzi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kwadwo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Ranzi looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kwadwo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwadwo looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kwadwo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ranzi keeps working. Nice strikes from Kwadwo there. Kwadwo slows the pace down in half guard. Ranzi is looking for a sweep. Kwadwo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kwadwo wants to control but Ranzi is keeping him busy. Alhassan Kwadwo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kwadwo in particular looking to stall. Ranzi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ranzi. Kwadwo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kwadwo works over Ranzi with some ground and pound from guard. Ranzi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kwadwo defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ranzi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ranzi is breathing heavily. Kwadwo advances position into side control! Kwadwo lands an elbow. Kwadwo working the ground and pound. Ranzi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kwadwo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ranzi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kwadwo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ranzi keeps working. Kwadwo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kwadwo stalling. Kwadwo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ranzi looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Kwadwo pushes past his half guard into mount! Kwadwo working Ranzi over with strikes here. Ranzi really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kwadwo with good strikes from the mount here! Kwadwo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kwadwo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Kwadwo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Ranzi is still in real trouble! Can Kwadwo finish him? Kwadwo postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Ranzi bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Kwadwo and the fight is over!
