Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hercule Poirot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poirot comes to the cage accompanied by Poirot Theme. John Wayne will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Wayne darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Poirot throws out a leg kick but Wayne moves out of range and Poirot only half commits.
Poirot tries a head kick but it misses.
Poirot takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Poirot walks into a left hand.
Poirot misses with a body kick.
Wayne scores with a jab to the body.
Wayne throws a one two combo.
Wayne lands with a nice body punch.
Poirot misses with a head kick.
Wayne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wayne connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Poirot closes the distance and clinches up with Wayne, looking for a takedown. Poirot pushes Wayne against the cage but Wayne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wayne jabs Poirot right on the nose. Poirot blinks but takes it well.
