Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joey Silverton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joey Silverton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Red Slayer! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slayer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Silverton avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Slayer. Slayer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silverton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Slayer is looking to advance position but Silverton won't allow it. Silverton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Slayer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Silverton is trying to get back to full guard. Slayer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silverton keeps working. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Silverton on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Silverton is trying to get back to full guard. Slayer wants to free his trapped foot but Silverton is holding on for dear life with his legs. Slayer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slayer works his way into side control. Slayer tries for a kimura but Silverton is defending well. Silverton is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Slayer off and has taken his back! Slayer staying busy and making it hard for Silverton to control. Silverton is not going to allow Slayer to sit and survive in this position. Silverton lands strikes to the head. Silverton is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Silverton gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Silverton gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Silverton apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Silverton missing with a left hand there. Slayer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Slayer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Silverton prevents Slayer from improving position. Silverton is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slayer scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Silverton to see if he's OK. Slayer is putting a hurting on Silverton here, landing some big shots from side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Slayer decides to take the fight back to the feet. Slayer shoots in for a double leg but Silverton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Slayer looks gassed! Silverton lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silverton. Slayer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silverton's waist but Silverton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slayer off to one side. Silverton changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Silverton fails with the takedown and Slayer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silverton's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silverton seems keen to control Slayer's posture. Silverton wants to sweep here but Slayer controlling him for the moment. Silverton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slayer manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slayer pulls Silverton in close to prevent any damage. Silverton forces his way into half guard. Silverton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Slayer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silverton. Slayer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silverton is working away from the top position though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Silverton trying to control the action but Slayer is working from the bottom. Slayer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silverton is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Silverton wants to control the pace but Slayer is squirming around nicely. Slayer taking shots to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Slayer is trying to escape the mount.

Red Slayer dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Silverton misses with a hook. Slayer ducked under it nicely. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Slayer is defended easily by Silverton. Silverton throws an overhand right that lands on Slayer's shoulder, as Slayer tries to avoid the shot. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Silverton, as that shot connected.
Slayer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silverton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slayer somewhat. Slayer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silverton but Silverton pushes him off and we're back to square one. Joey Silverton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Slayer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silverton throws a series of punches but Slayer avoids them all with ease. Slayer misses with a takedown attempt - Silverton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Silverton lands a jab to Slayer's midsection. Slayer is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silverton has his takedown stuffed and Slayer counters with a shoot takedown. Silverton fights it but they end up in guard. Silverton is trying to control the position but Slayer postures up. Slayer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Slayer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Slayer wants to control from the top but Silverton keeps moving. Silverton is staying active underneath Slayer, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Silverton gets full guard. Slayer postures up in Silverton's guard and throws a big left but Silverton blocks it. Silverton wants to sweep here but Slayer controlling him for the moment.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Silverton slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Silverton darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Silverton throws a one two combo.
Silverton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Joey Silverton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slayer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silverton. Silverton throws a body punch but Slayer moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Silverton lands a jab to Slayer's midsection. Silverton throws a jab when Slayer was well out of range. Silverton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Slayer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Slayer. Slayer stands up over Silverton, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Silverton keeping moving, preventing Slayer from controlling successfully. Silverton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slayer is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slayer gets to his feet - Silverton follows without any prompting. Slayer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Red Slayer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Red Slayer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Slayer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
