The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvora fails with a takedown attempt.
Alvora displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Telus throws out the jab.

Alvora clinches with his opponent.
Telus fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The referee is keeping an eye on Alvora - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Telus looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Alvora has Telus pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Telus manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Alvora is trying to drag Telus to the mat but Telus just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Atrejo Alvora. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alvora pulls guard successfully.
Telus wants to pass the guard but Alvora is keeping the position.
Telus wants to get up but he can't break Alvora's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Alvora tries to land a sweep but no joy.
