Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Connor Peevor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Kendal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Connor Peevor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marco Kendal!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peevor shoots for a double leg takedown but Kendal sprawls well. He's pushed Peevor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A combination from Kendal does no damage.

Kendal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peevor sprawls well initially but Kendal persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kendal keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Peevor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kendal on the ground.
Peevor won't allow Kendal to pass to mount.
Peevor has hold of Kendal's hands but Kendal slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Peevor tries to roll over but Kendal keeps him under control.
Kendal controlling the pace.
Peevor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kendal is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peevor is breathing heavily.
Peevor tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Kendal has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Peevor wants to hold on but Kendal pushes him away.
Kendal has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Peevor's face.
Kendal lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Peevor hang on?
Kendal scoring with strikes but Peevor is staying in there.
Kendal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kendal stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Kendal pushes Peevor up against the cage in a clinch.
Kendal is looking to break free of the clinch but Peevor has double underhooks.
Peevor gets underhooks to prevent Kendal's takedown attempt.
Kendal can't get the takedown.
Kendal managing to block the knees to the body from Peevor.

Peevor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Peevor takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Kendal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

I looks like Kendal might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kendal lands a heavy elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kendal controlling from the full mount.
Kendal has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Peevor is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kendal is landing with some decent strikes but Peevor is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Peevor tries to hold on but Kendal pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marco Kendal dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


The fight stays on the outside here - Kendal looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kendal closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Peevor is bucking up trying to escape but Kendal cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Peevor is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kendal looking to control and managing it successfully.
Kendal cracks Peevor with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kendal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Peevor wants to hold on but Kendal pushes him away.
Kendal controlling his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, Marco Kendal just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kendal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kendal shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kendal showed some decent athleticism there.

Kendal postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Peevor to stand up.
Kendal gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Peevor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kendal's guard.

Kendal manages to escape and get back to his feet.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Kendal.

and Peevor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Peevor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kendal counters with a nice double leg into side control. Peevor won't be happy with that.
Kendal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peevor keeps working.
Kendal has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Peevor!

Peevor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Peevor tries to get out of the position.

Kendal goes for an armbar but Peevor turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Peevor.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peevor won't allow Kendal to sweep him here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Peevor postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marco Kendal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Peevor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kendal counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kendal.
Kendal advances to half guard.
Peevor trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Kendal manages to pass to mount!

Kendal lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Marco Kendal has got the better of the ground game so far.
Peevor can't escape the position.

Kendal looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kendal pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Kendal lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Kendal stands up from mount. Strange move.
Kendal keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kendal fails with the takedown.

Kendal has Peevor up against the cage in a clinch.
Peevor lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kendal or not.
Peevor is pressed up against the cage. Kendal has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Peevor down to the mat. Peevor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kendal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Connor Peevor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Kendal.
Peevor will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kendal up against the cage.

Kendal wants to break the clinch but can't.
Peevor goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kendal prevents it.
Kendal wants to stall.
Peevor is trying to drag Kendal to the mat but Kendal just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kendal gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Peevor is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kendal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Peevor, up you get!

And that's the end of the fight!
Marco Kendal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kendal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
