Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sub Mit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Maklavek!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mit gets the takedown into side control.
Mit working away.
Maklavek looking for a sweep but Mit has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Mit takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mit trying to control but Maklavek is having none of it.
Maklavek can't escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mit looking to finish with strikes here!
Mit controlling the pace for now.
Maklavek is trying desperately to improve position.
Maklavek is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mit looking to control and managing it successfully.
Maklavek is in all sorts of trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maklavek tries to hold on but Mit postures up.

Mit is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Maklavek is surviving well by controlling Mit's body position as best he can.
Maklavek keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Mit looking to control but Maklavek is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Maklavek is trying desperately to improve position.
Maklavek tries to hold on but Mit postures up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Maklavek is in all sorts of trouble here.
Maklavek bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Mit is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Maklavek trying to control but Mit is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sub Mit dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Maklavek looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mit.
Sub Mit is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Maklavek connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Mit shoots in looking for a takedown. Maklavek tries to sprawl out of it but Mit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maklavek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Maklavek has his takedown stuffed

and Mit counters with a shoot takedown. Maklavek fights it but they end up in guard.
Maklavek wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Maklavek wants to sweep here but Mit controlling him for the moment.

Maklavek had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mit is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Maklavek Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mit's back instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Maklavek wants to control but Mit is keeping busy.
Mit tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Maklavek wants to get back to his feet but Mit is holding on tight.
Mit is looking to improve his position but Maklavek isn't that keen on the idea.

Maklavek goes for an armbar but Mit turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mit.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Maklavek has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mit has passed into side control.
Maklavek is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mit has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Maklavek is trying to improve his position.
Maklavek sneaks back into half guard.
Maklavek is trying to get back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maklavek controlling the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Maklavek looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are battling for position here. Maklavek manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Mit won't allow Maklavek to sweep him here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mit sitting in guard here, content to control.
Maklavek working a defensive guard here.

Maklavek throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mit escapes and throws Maklavek's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Maklavek is trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mit tries to move to mount but Maklavek blocks the move with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sub Mit dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Mit looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Maklavek wants to get back to full guard but Mit has mounted him!
Maklavek is squirming around, avoiding Mit's attempts to control the action.
Maklavek stops Mit from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Maklavek is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Maklavek tries to hold on but Mit postures up.
Maklavek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Maklavek is trying desperately to improve position.
Maklavek tries to improve his position but instead Mit has taken his back!
Mit not allowing Maklavek to control his hands.
Mit trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Maklavek doesn't escape.
Mit struggling to keep hold of the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Maklavek trying to control the position but Mit manages to sink in the hooks.
Maklavek staying busy and making it hard for Mit to control.

Mit is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Maklavek has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Maklavek looking very determined here, making life difficult for Mit.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Mit seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Maklavek for as long as he can get away with.
Maklavek is really stuck here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mit trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Maklavek wants to control his opponent's hands but Mit gets his hands free.
Mit just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mit trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sub Mit showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mit, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
