Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaac De Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Belfort! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Isaac De Santos! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belfort pivots, looking for a leg kick but De Santos is out of range and Belfort settles back down. Belfort throws a series of punches but De Santos moves out of range. De Santos is looking to slow Belfort down with leg kicks. Belfort tries for a takedown but De Santos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. De Santos bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. De Santos decides to stand back up. De Santos steps back and let's Belfort get back to his feet. Belfort closes this distance looking for a takedown but De Santos circles away. Vitor Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Belfort closes the distance and clinches up with De Santos, looking for a takedown. Belfort pushes De Santos against the cage but De Santos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitor Belfort. That's going to take a lot out of him. De Santos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - De Santos lands in his opponent's guard. De Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belfort. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. De Santos slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Belfort not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Belfort is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belfort is trying to control the position but De Santos postures up. De Santos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Belfort is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Belfort has a closed guard, preventing De Santos from standing up. Belfort is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Belfort escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. De Santos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Belfort is breathing heavily. De Santos's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Belfort is looking to sinch up a triangle. De Santos throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Belfort's body to avoid the submission. Belfort has instead reached around De Santos's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Belfort arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Vitor Belfort!
