Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Woodford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ash Woodford will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Chang!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ash Woodford!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodford throws an overhand right that lands on Chang's shoulder, as Chang tries to avoid the shot.
Woodford swinging wilding here.
Woodford uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chang.
Woodford doesn't manage to clinch there - Chang circles away.
Woodford pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chang tries a head kick but it misses.
Chang misses with an uppercut

and Woodford counters with a left and a right that hurts Chang! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Woodford jumps into full mount!

Oh Chang is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chang tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Chang seems to have got his legs back now.
Chang is working hard here to advance position.
Woodford trying to control but Chang is having none of it.
Chang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Chang is in all sorts of trouble here.

Woodford takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Chang manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Woodford is pressing down on Chang's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chang is holding on for now.
Woodford is keen to just control but Chang is a slippery customer.
Chang is trying to maintain the position but Woodford is very close to passing his half guard.
Chang is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Woodford's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Woodford's back!

Chang has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Woodford has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chang is looking to take a break and control but Woodford is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Woodford is trying to maintain the position but Chang is very close to passing his half guard.
Woodford is pressing down on Chang's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Chang is working for a guillotine from mount but Woodford frees his head quite easily.
Chang wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Woodford wants to get back to his feet.

Chang jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Woodford manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Chang tries to move to mount but Woodford blocks the move with his legs.
Woodford tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Woodford is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
You can see the frustration on Woodford's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Greg Chang will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Chang cracks Woodford with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Woodford slips under a jab from Chang.
Chang misses with a head kick.
Woodford looks to land a combination. Chang sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Chang misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Woodford throws a series of punches but Chang moves out of range.
The fighters circling - Chang throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Woodford tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Woodford misses with a two punch combination.
Woodford misses with a wild combination.
Woodford throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Chang has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Woodford steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chang.
Woodford avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Woodford misses with a right hand
and Chang counters with a big head kick but Woodford shrugs it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Chang pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Chang! Woodford is out on his feet! Chang rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Woodford is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Woodford is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Chang!
