Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Give It All by Rise Against. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone has taken the fight to the clinch.
Stone pulls Smith into guard.
Stone keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Stone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.
Smith would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Smith stands up from Stone's guard - Smith perhaps looking for a knockout. Stone looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Smith! Smith is trying to stand up. Smith wants to control but Stone is having none of it. Stone is working for a guillotine from mount but Smith frees his head quite easily.

Stone is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Smith is surviving well by controlling Stone's body position as best he can. Smith is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone has hold of Smith's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Smith manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Stone goes for an armbar but Smith turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Smith. Stone looks gassed! Smith has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stone is proving hard to escape from. Smith controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Smith is looking to stand up but Stone won't let him. Smith gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Stone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smith was covering up waiting for the punch and Stone finishes the takedown easily into guard. Stone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stone's guard. Smith is stalling in the full guard. Smith decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A punch combination from Smith misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by Stone. Smith waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stone. Smith with a poor takedown and Stone moves into the clinch. Stone tries to pull guard but Smith won't allow it.

Mike Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keith Stone. A frustrated look appears on Smith's face as he tries to break the clinch. Stone keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Smith's efforts to push away. Stone pulls guard effortlessly. Smith stands up from Stone's guard - Smith perhaps looking for a knockout. Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stone doesn't seem bothered though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith swings away with a leg kick that misses. Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mike Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Nice body punch from Smith. Smith misses with a double jab.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Stone has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Smith uses from the top position. Smith gets to his feet. Stone looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Stone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith. Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stone. Smith looks to throw the jab but Stone is out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A punch combination from Smith misses. Smith misses with a double jab
and Stone counters by moving into the clinch. Smith has had enough of the clinch but Stone keeps him there for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mike Smith will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Stone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smith napping and manages to drive through into side control! Smith is not content to let Stone control the position. Smith is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Stone is controlling him well. Stone tries for a kimura but Smith is defending well. Smith manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Stone actively working from the bottom here. Smith wants to get back to his feet.
Smith stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Stone to get to his feet. Smith misses with a straight left. Stone fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage. Stone is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone tries to pull guard but Smith holds him up against the cage and eventually Stone drops back down to his feet.
Smith breaks from the clinch.
Smith throws a right and a left that Stone avoids nicely. Stone blocks a jab. Stone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively. A left and a right from Smith both land. Nice combination. Mike Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stone looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Smith is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stone defends well. Stone pushes down on Smith's leg and manages to get into half guard. Smith is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stone pulls his head out easily. Smith is defending against the submission attempts here by Stone.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Stone is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Smith has managed to free his arm - good work. Smith has one foot on Stone's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Stone walks into a stiff left hand from Smith. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Stone's shoulder, as Stone tries to avoid the shot. Stone fails to land the takedown. Smith bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Smith lands a right hook to the body.
Stone moves away from the strike by Smith.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith cracks Stone with an open hand slap. Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Smith scores with a body shot.
Stone drops his hands momentarily and Smith takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Smith closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Stone is rocked! Smith lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Stone is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him? This has been an exciting period of action! Stone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Smith throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Stone stumbling backwards into the cage! Stone bounces back off the cage towards Smith, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Smith lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Smith celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mike Smith!
