Wittman comes to the cage accompanied by Brian Eno - The Big Ship. The key to victory for Marcus Wittman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Wittman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viktor Herzog! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Herzog misses with a takedown attempt - Wittman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Herzog looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wittman is fending him off so far but Herzog persists. Nope, Wittman circles away and we're back to standing. Wittman misses with a takedown and Herzog counters with a takedown into side control. Herzog is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Herzog is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wittman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Herzog working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Herzog throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Herzog is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wittman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wittman wants to control but Herzog postures up. Wittman tries to bench press Herzog off him but Herzog keeps the position. Wittman can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wittman is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Herzog scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wittman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Herzog is working away from the top position though. Wittman blocking the ground and pound attempt from Herzog. Herzog is trying to control. Wittman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Herzog is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wittman sees it coming and defends easily. Herzog perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Herzog is looking for a kimura but Wittman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Herzog to get the leverage. Wittman is not content to let Herzog control the position. Wittman trying to control but Herzog postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Herzog fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wittman sprawls well initially but Herzog persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wittman tries to roll over but Herzog keeps him under control. Herzog is looking to advance position but Wittman won't allow it. Wittman is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Herzog is tapping! Great win for Wittman!
