Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tristan Durans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johny D!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

D tries to keep at a distance but Durans has taken the fight into the clinch.

Durans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
D goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Tristan Durans has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Durans looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Durans throws a quick inside leg kick.
Tristan Durans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
D swats away the attempt to clinch by Durans.
Durans tries to clinch but D moves out of range.
D shoots in for a takedown but Durans shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Durans bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and D counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Durans misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from D.
Durans looks to land a left hand but D moved out of range nicely.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Durans.

Durans wants to clinch up but D keeps it at a distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from D is defended easily by Durans.

Durans clinches.
Durans is pressed up against the cage. D has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Durans down to the mat. Durans avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tristan Durans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johny D.
D tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Durans counters with a good, hard body kick but D shrugs it off.
Durans tries to bum rush D with a series of wild strikes but D uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
D misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
D shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Durans counters with a lovely straight right hand!
D looks gassed!

Durans gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Durans lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
D fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Durans lands a hook that snaps the head of D backwards.

Durans's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Durans moves into range and clinches up with D.

Durans breaks from the clinch.

Durans clinches.
Durans stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Durans misses with a knee strike.
D drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Durans gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Durans throws a knee to the head but misses.
Durans lands with a short head shot on the inside.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Durans lands a hook that snaps the head of D backwards.

Durans pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Durans moves into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Durans landing knees to the body.

Durans with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
D takes a knee right on the jaw!

D wants a takedown but no success here.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Durans creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Durans presses D against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Durans prevents the takedown attempt.
D has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Durans avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
D is trying to drag Durans to the mat but Durans just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
D goes for a takedown attempt but Durans pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Durans takes the fight into the clinch.
D tries for a takedown. No joy.
Durans lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
D drops down looking for an ankle pick but Durans pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Durans looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Durans closes the distance and clinches.
Durans pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
D has a couple of punches blocked by Durans.
Durans avoiding damage.
D is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Durans is keeping busy.
D can't get the takedown.

Durans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Durans fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
D with a lazy takedown attempt
and Durans counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Durans has taken the fight to the clinch.
D takes a shot to the head.
D has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Durans is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
D wants a takedown but no success here.
A nice right hand lands inside from Durans.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


D wants to clinch but Durans slips to the side
and Durans cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Durans misses the jab.
D misses with a takedown

and Durans counters by clinching up.
Durans works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Durans putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has D in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Durans landing knees to the head.
Durans is leaning against D and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Durans scores with a knee to the head.
Knees in the clinch landing for Durans.

Durans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Durans looks to land a combination but D avoids it well.
Durans tries to clinch up.

D feints and as Durans raises his hands in defense, D changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Durans is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and D dives into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

D wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Durans, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
A lull in the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Durans is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but D has just dragged him back down to the mat.
D is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Durans will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

D has hold of Durans's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Durans tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - D cranks the arm and Durans screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Durans, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
