The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
homes is looking to clinch but Kinkel is avoiding it.
homes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
homes scores with a head kick.
Kinkel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kinkel shoots in for a takedown but homes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
homes keeps the fight on the outside.
Kinkel with a lazy takedown attempt
and homes counters with a straight right hand.

Kinkel doesn't manage to clinch there - homes circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
homes tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Kinkel slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kinkel's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

homes fails with an attempt to clinch.
homes leaves Kinkel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
homes throws a head kick but Kinkel moves out of range.

Kinkel misses with an uppercut. homes saw that one coming.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kinkel lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and homes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from homes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kinkel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? homes is fending him off so far but Kinkel persists. Nope, homes circles away and we're back to standing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kinkel shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. homes is trying to defend but Kinkel finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jake Kinkel will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jake Kinkel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kinkel pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kinkel dives in and grabs homes's left leg, looking for a takedown. homes pushes down on Kinkel's head and hops out.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jake Kinkel showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kinkel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
