Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cliche Guevara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anderson Maia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cliche Guevara!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Guevara pinned against the cage. Guevara gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice sprawl there from Guevara as Maia shoots in.

Maia closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Guevara to the mat! Guevara manages to get full guard.
Maia trying to control the position from guard on top but Guevara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maia trying to move into half guard but instead Guevara has managed to sweep!

Guevara postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maia is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Guevara, into his guard.
Maia tries to free his leg and advance position but Guevara is retaining full guard.

Guevara wants to sweep but no luck.
Maia is looking to work some ground and pound but Guevara has wrist control.
Maia trying to control but Guevara is working from the bottom.
Maia stands and throws Guevara's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Maia drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Guevara dives on top into guard.

Guevara is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Maia is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Maia has escaped and now he's on top!

That was a close second round but I would say that Anderson Maia will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Guevara tries to bum rush Maia with a series of wild strikes but Maia uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Guevara fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Cliche Guevara comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
