Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jr Seau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jr Seau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Derek Santiago!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago shoots in and drives through. Seau sprawls well.
No luck for Santiago with that takedown attempt.
Derek Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santiago circles away from the clinch attempt.
Seau moves into the clinch.
Santiago tries to pull guard but Seau holds him up against the cage and eventually Santiago drops back down to his feet.
Jr Seau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Santiago.
Seau breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Seau fails to land with a series of punches.
Santiago tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Seau swivels and escapes.
Santiago changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Seau looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Santiago tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Santiago is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Seau knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Santiago working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Santiago looks gassed!
Seau tries to bench press Santiago off him but Santiago keeps the position.
Seau wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seau is looking to reverse the position.
Seau sneaks back into half guard.
Seau tries to roll over but Santiago keeps him under control.
Seau manages to get to full guard.
Seau is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Santiago is aware though and is defending well.

Santiago trying to control but Seau is working from the bottom.

Seau scrambles and gets back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Santiago.
Seau is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Seau tries to clinch but Santiago is having none of it.

Santiago misses with a takedown attempt - Seau sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Santiago is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Seau.
It looks like Derek Santiago has been cut.
Seau clinches up against the cage.
Santiago tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Seau smiles and moves away.
Seau connects with a nice cross there... Santiago is looking wobbly and Seau recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Santiago to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Seau jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
