Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jethro Rayner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rayner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Miller.
Miller throws a nice looking combination but Rayner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Miller thows a body shot but no joy. Miller thows a body shot but no joy. Rayner cracks Miller with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Miller lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rayner circles away quickly and effectively. Miller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rayner. Rayner throws a low kick, looking for Miller's leg but Miller calmly moves out of range. Miller fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rayner on the side of the head. Miller throws a right and a left that both miss. Rayner shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Rayner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nice jab there from Miller. Rayner throws a quick inside leg kick. Miller scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rayner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Miller moves out of range of the body kick. Miller misses with a two punch combination.
Rayner throws a combination that misses and Miller counters with a straight right hand. A combination from Miller does no damage. Miller throws a hook but Rayner blocks it. Miller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rayner sees it coming and avoids it easily. Miller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Rayner counters with a nice body shot. Sammy Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Miller bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rayner's head. Miller avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rayner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Miller did well to prevent Rayner getting side control. Rayner wants to pass the guard but Miller is defending well. Rayner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rayner passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Miller! Rayner throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Miller is working to get back to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miller can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rayner content just to control the position here. Rayner prevents Miller from getting the reversal. Rayner misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Rayner thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Rayner moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Miller has worked his arm free - good work by Miller!
Rayner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rayner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rayner tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rayner sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Miller is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Miller is looking to reverse the position. Miller gets back to half guard. Miller wants to control but Rayner is keeping busy and won't allow it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Rayner is staying active. Rayner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Miller's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sammy Miller dominated that round. That's time! Rayner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A shot to the body from Miller misses and Rayner counters with a stiff right hand. Rayner takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Rayner misses with a low kick. Miller checks a leg kick. Miller throws a right hand that Rayner ducks under and follows up with a left that Rayner also avoids with ease. Jethro Rayner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Miller throws a combination that misses and Rayner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Rayner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rayner trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Miller manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Rayner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Rayner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller won't allow Rayner to sweep him here. Rayner manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Miller is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Rayner jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Miller is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Miller and Rayner has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Miller wants to control but Rayner postures up. Miller is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Rayner throwing strikes but Miller manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rayner is looking for a sweep. Miller tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Rayner is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Miller off and has taken his back! Rayner throwing sloppy strikes. Rayner misses with an elbow to the head. Rayner is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Miller is defending well though. Rayner let's go of the attempt for now. Rayner is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Miller defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Miller is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Rayner is landing with strikes from the back. Rayner has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Miller showing good submission defense here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller looking to control the position. Rayner is looking for the choke from the back position but Miller is controlling his hands well. Miller is really stuck here.
Miller defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. Miller stands and steps away. Rayner gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Rayner misses with a body shot
and Miller counters with a series of strikes. Rayner will be more careful next time no doubt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rayner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Miller but Miller pushes him off and we're back to square one. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Miller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jethro Rayner will probably get the nod. That's time! Rayner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Rayner motions for Miller to come forward. Rayner throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Rayner takes a swing at Miller's ribcage but misses. Miller loads up on a big right hand but Rayner slips the punch. Miller misses with a two punch combination.

Rayner wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. Rayner pushes down on Miller's leg and manages to get into half guard. Jethro Rayner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rayner is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Miller defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rayner is stalling here. Miller is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rayner seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Miller has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Miller tries to stand but Rayner is controlling his head. Miller trying to control the action but Rayner is working from the bottom. Rayner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Miller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Miller decides to stand back up. Miller steps back and let's Rayner get back to his feet. Miller looks to land a combination. Rayner sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Jethro Rayner has been cut. Sammy Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Miller just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller misses the jab. Rayner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Miller.

Miller misses with a shot to the body and Rayner counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Miller is staying active underneath Rayner, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rayner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rayner passes to full mount! Miller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miller really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
You get the feeling that Miller really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Rayner punching from mount but Miller doing a good job of avoiding damage. Miller blocking the ground and pound. Rayner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Miller is surviving well by controlling Rayner's body position as best he can. Rayner goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Miller is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rayner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rayner keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. Rayner looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rayner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miller defends well. Rayner has a closed guard, preventing Miller from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Jethro Rayner showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rayner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
