The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamura throws a big shot that misses.
Nice sprawl there from Tamura as Erickson shoots in.
Erickson moves out of range of the leg kick from Tamura.
Erickson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tamura pinned against the cage. Tamura gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tamura throws a right hand that Erickson ducks under and follows up with a left that Erickson also avoids with ease.
Tamura throws a nice looking combination but Erickson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tamura throws a jab but it's blocked by Erickson.
Tamura tries to bum rush Erickson with a series of wild strikes but Erickson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tamura misses with an uppercut. Erickson saw that one coming.
Erickson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Erickson shoots in for a takedown but Tamura shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marshal Erickson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tamura tries a head kick but it misses.
Erickson has a takedown stuffed.
Erickson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tamura is fending him off so far but Erickson persists. Nope, Tamura circles away and we're back to standing.
Erickson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tamura avoids it really well and circles away.

Erickson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tamura is trying to defend but Erickson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Erickson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Erickson wants to control but Tamura is keeping him busy.
Tamura looks like he's trying to stand up.
Tamura is not content to let Erickson control the position.

Erickson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Erickson is looking to take a break and control but Tamura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Erickson maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Tamura could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Erickson has cracked it and Tamura is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Erickson!
