Alves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kesler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kesler moves into the clinch.
Alves has had enough of the clinch but Kesler keeps him there for the moment.
Alves takes a knee to the side of the body.
Kesler landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Kesler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alves lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Alex Kesler has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alves drops Kesler with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kesler looks back up at him and smiles so Alves waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Alves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kesler circles away quickly and effectively.
Alves drops Kesler with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Kesler! Alves dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
