Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dewayne Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter has chosen Lil Wayne as his entrance music. Dewayne Carter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dewayne Carter! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter misses with a hook. Carter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carter has escaped the position, nice work there. Carter is not content to let Johnson control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Carter has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Johnson but great work by Carter. Johnson throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. I wouldn't like to be where Johnson is right now. Johnson is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Carter not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Johnson wants to improve his position but Carter is controlling well.
Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson. Johnson trying to keep a closed guard but Carter is proving a slippery customer.
Johnson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Johnson seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Carter is holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Carter is surviving well by controlling Johnson's body position as best he can. Johnson looking to control and managing it successfully. Johnson looking to control but Carter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Carter is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Johnson landing strikes, looking to finish! A nice elbow there by Johnson. Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Johnson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Carter is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Carter and Johnson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Matthew Johnson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carter swivels and escapes. Matthew Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carter swinging wildly here.
Johnson has a takedown stuffed. Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Carter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carter swivels and escapes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Johnson's half guard. Johnson regains full guard. Nicely done. Carter postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson controlling the position. Johnson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Johnson pulls Carter in close to prevent any damage. Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carter manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johnson managing to control the position. Johnson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Johnson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carter! Carter is breathing heavily. Johnson controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to take Carter's back here but Carter is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson controlling from mount. Johnson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carter has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matthew Johnson dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Johnson shoots and misses and Carter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Johnson has his takedown stuffed and Carter counters with a left and a right that stings Johnson. Johnson has his takedown stuffed and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carter tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Carter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Carter looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well. Dewayne Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Johnson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Johnson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Carter did well to prevent Johnson getting side control. Johnson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Carter knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Johnson in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is stalling here. Carter is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Johnson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Carter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. A bit of a lull in the action here. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Matthew Johnson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Johnson to the mat! Johnson manages to get full guard. Carter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Johnson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Carter should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Johnson has tightened it up now! Carter should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
