Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Young GSP!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GSP throws a nice looking combination but Lamas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
GSP fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
GSP looks for the body kick but Lamas saw that one coming.
GSP pulls out of a head kick attempt.
GSP throws a hook but Lamas avoids it easily.

GSP drops Lamas with a right and a left! GSP comes rushing in but Lamas regains his composure and manages to keep GSP in guard.

Lamas is rocked!
GSP is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Oh Lamas is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
GSP's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

GSP gets to his feet - Lamas follows without any prompting.
Lamas seems to have got his legs back now.
Lamas closes the distance and clinches up with GSP, looking for a takedown. Lamas pushes GSP against the cage but GSP circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
GSP throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
GSP looks to land a combination but Lamas avoids it well.

A decent looking cross lands there for GSP.
GSP misses with a body shot.
GSP throws a hook but Lamas avoids it easily.

Lamas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Lamas is working for a kimura but GSP is defending it quite comfortably.
Lamas prevents GSP from improving his position.

Lamas wants to lay and pray for a moment but GSP keeps working.
GSP has his hands clasped together around Lamas's back. He's all about the action.
GSP is looking to control Lamas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can GSP avoid being mounted?

Lamas wanted to stand there but GSP had control of the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now GSP is on top in guard.

Lamas is looking for a triangle but GSP pushes his legs off easily.

GSP is trying to land a reversal but Lamas doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle.
