Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barney Stinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junie Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Barney Stinson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barney Stinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Junie Silva! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stinson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva. Stinson misses with the combination.

Silva scores with a kick to the midsection. Stinson swinging wildly here.
Silva lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Stinson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stinson is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stinson wants to get back to his feet. Silva content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Stinson is looking to escape. Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stinson's head. Silva is taking a breather. Stinson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Silva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Stinson won't allow Silva to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stinson is defending against the submission attempts here by Silva.
Stinson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. Silva is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stinson sees it coming and defends easily. Silva trying to control from half guard but Stinson is working away. Silva uses his free foot to push down on Stinson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Stinson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Stinson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Silva.
Stinson is trying to stand up. Silva fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Junie Silva dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Stinson throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Stinson. Stinson throws a combination that misses and Silva counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stinson's knee momentarily. A lazy left from Stinson finds it's target. Barney Stinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Stinson.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Stinson which made him look bad. Stinson misses with the combination.
A left and a right from Stinson both land. Nice combination. Stinson tries to clinch up and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stinson's guard now. Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Stinson is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva works a leg free and moves into half guard. Silva with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Stinson wants to get back to his feet. Silva is controlling the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva works his foot free and advances to mount. Silva working away from the top, dropping strikes. Silva controlling from mount. Silva looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva has control of Stinson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stinson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Silva is breathing heavily. Silva sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Stinson is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Stinson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Silva tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Silva has hold of Stinson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stinson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Junie Silva has got the better of the ground game so far. Stinson really wants to buck Silva off and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Junie Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A jab lands there for Stinson. Stinson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stinson's guard. Silva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Silva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Silva wants to control from the top but Stinson keeps moving. Silva stays in close to Stinson's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stinson wants to stand up but Silva is controlling him. Silva content to stall in guard here. Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Stinson wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it. Silva forces his way into half guard. Stinson tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva content to control rather than advance. Stinson tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Silva manages to move to mount!
Stinson is trying to stand. Silva with the ground and pound from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silva breaks from Stinson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Silva with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

And that's the end of the fight! Junie Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Silva winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
