Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Iliyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarrett Degrace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Degrace comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lakota Honor Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Iliyev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jarrett Degrace!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iliyev blocks a jab.
Degrace leaves Iliyev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Iliyev.
Degrace thows a body shot but no joy.
Iliyev keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Degrace.
Iliyev has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergey Iliyev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Degrace throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Iliyev dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Degrace. That did some damage!

Iliyev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Degrace is fending him off so far but Iliyev persists. Nope, Degrace circles away and we're back to standing.
Iliyev is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Degrace.
It looks like Sergey Iliyev has been cut.
Degrace blocks the body kick.
Degrace gets caught flat footed, as Iliyev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Iliyev trying to control the position from guard on top but Degrace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Degrace is looking to stand up but Iliyev isn't so interested in that idea.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Degrace can do anything to dispel that myth.
Iliyev is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Degrace wriggles free and stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Iliyev looks for a takedown but Degrace sprawls well.
Degrace throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Iliyev sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Iliyev fails to land the takedown.
Iliyev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sergey Iliyev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iliyev tries to clinch but Degrace moves out of range.
Degrace misses with an uppercut. Iliyev saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Degrace pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Iliyev shoots in but no luck this time.
Iliyev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Degrace sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Iliyev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Degrace sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Iliyev somewhat.
Iliyev is breathing heavily.
Iliyev fails with the takedown.
Degrace leaves Iliyev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Degrace throws a right and a left that Iliyev avoids nicely.
Iliyev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Degrace scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Degrace swinging wildly here.
Degrace lands a nice looking body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nice body punch from Degrace.
Iliyev seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Degrace shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Iliyev is backing up but Degrace catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Iliyev covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Degrace Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jarrett Degrace!
