Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Shiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, christian sly!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shiro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shiro showed some decent athleticism there.
sly is trying to control but Shiro passes into side control!
Shiro is looking to take a break and control but sly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Shiro prevents sly from escaping the position.
Shiro sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but sly is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
sly stops Shiro from passing to mount.
sly is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Shiro tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Shiro has worked his way into a potential kimura here. sly is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Shiro yanks on the arm and sly is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Shiro.
