Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pate Perhana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marco Rivera!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perhana decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Perhana not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Perhana is trying to control the action in half guard but Rivera is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rivera on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Perhana is working for a kimura but Rivera is defending it quite comfortably.
Perhana takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Perhana thows a huge punch but Rivera dodges it nicely.

Rivera is trying to get back to full guard.

Rivera is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Perhana pulls his head out easily.
Perhana is nestled in close to Rivera, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rivera is staying active underneath Perhana, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perhana is controlling the pace.

Rivera looks gassed!
Perhana is nestled in close to Rivera, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Perhana landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Perhana is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Perhana passes to side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rivera tries to bench press Perhana off him but Perhana keeps the position.
Perhana is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Perhana is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Rivera looks calm but he's in trouble here. Perhana gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Rivera is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Perhana lets go of the hold and Rivera can pop his arm back in it's socket.
