Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikael Felin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Corcoran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felin's entrance music is poisen. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikael Felin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Corcoran!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Corcoran darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Corcoran prevents Felin from improving his position.
Corcoran is controlling the pace.

Felin kicks Corcoran off and gets back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Corcoran looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Corcoran closes the distance and clinches.
Felin is trying to drag Corcoran to the mat but Corcoran just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Corcoran lands an elbow just above Felin 's eye.


It looks like Mikael Felin has been cut.

Corcoran escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Corcoran is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

and Corcoran counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Corcoran lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Corcoran managing to block the knees to the body from Felin.
Felin tries to pull guard but Corcoran won't allow it.

Corcoran pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Corcoran throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Corcoran seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Corcoran postures up in Felin's guard and throws a big left but Felin blocks it.
Corcoran controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Corcoran postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Felin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Felin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Corcoran controls the pace.

Corcoran is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Corcoran looks up at the clock and then as Felin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Corcoran smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Corcoran cracks Felin with a big right hand but Felin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Corcoran tries to move into full mount but can't pass Felin's legs.
Felin seems a little lost for a moment, as Corcoran dominates the positioning.
Corcoran misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Corcoran is working Felin over with some ground and pound from side control.

Corcoran content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander Corcoran dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Felin is looking to clinch but Corcoran is avoiding it.
Corcoran wants to clinch.
Corcoran throws a one two combo.
Corcoran just misses with a punch to the body.

Corcoran instigates a clinch.
Felin looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Corcoran gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Felin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Corcoran scores with a couple of nice shots.

Corcoran slips a nice elbow through Felin's hands, connecting with Felin's forehead.
Corcoran should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Corcoran seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Corcoran is keen to just control but Felin is a slippery customer.

Corcoran working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Corcoran looks to land a combination but Felin avoids it well.

so Corcoran counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Corcoran sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Felin's guard.

Felin wants to control but Corcoran is keeping busy.
Corcoran winds up and cracks Felin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Well, if Corcoran is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Corcoran thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Felin's head.

Felin is looking to control Corcoran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Felin avoid being mounted?

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Corcoran takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Corcoran creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Felin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Corcoran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Felin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Corcoran as he avoids it easily.

Corcoran is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mikael Felin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Corcoran's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Corcoran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Felin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Corcoran is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Corcoran has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Felin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Corcoran gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Alexander Corcoran comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Corcoran has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
