Riva has chosen Holymen - The Last Universe as his entrance music. Stark Weissz has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riva moves into range and clinches up with Weissz.
Weissz wants to break the clinch but can't.
Weissz throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Riva gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Weissz is looking to improve his position.
Riva wants to stand up but Weissz is controlling the position.
Weissz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Riva is nestled in close to Weissz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

It looks like Stark Weissz has been cut.

Riva gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Weissz regains guard.

Riva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Riva fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Weissz.

Riva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Riva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Riva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weissz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Riva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Weissz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Weissz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Riva is working away from the top position though.
Riva looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Riva seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
