Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oishi Yoshio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Joe Joe jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshio's entrance music is "Stronger" by Kanye West. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Oishi Yoshio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joey Joe Joe jr!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshio throws a head kick that misses.
Yoshio fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Joe Joe jr checks it well.
Joe Joe jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yoshio.
Yoshio fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Joe Joe jr avoids it really well and circles away.
Yoshio finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yoshio throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Joe Joe jr was covering up waiting for the punch and Yoshio finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Joe Joe jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yoshio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Yoshio is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yoshio's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Joe Joe jr crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Yoshio - the referee stops the clock and Joe Joe jr gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Yoshio. Joe Joe jr manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
