Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartolomeo Goodyear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bartolomeo Goodyear has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ross Pearson's chin.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bartolomeo Goodyear! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goodyear bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Goodyear throws a strike aimed at the side of Pearson's head but Pearson avoids it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goodyear working away. Goodyear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pearson keeps working. A lull in the action here as Goodyear stalls from top position. Goodyear is looking to take a break and control but Pearson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pearson is letting Goodyear control him for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. I looks like Goodyear might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Bartolomeo Goodyear just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pearson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Goodyear to score an easy takedown into full guard. Goodyear controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goodyear closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Goodyear is figuring out what he wants to do next. Goodyear tries to free his leg and advance position but Pearson is retaining full guard. Goodyear advances to half guard. Goodyear is pressing down on Pearson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pearson is holding on for now. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Goodyear in particular looking to stall. And that's the end of the fight! Bartolomeo Goodyear comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Goodyear has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
