Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lee Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ibe Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lee Holt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ibe Kong!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt throws a leg kick which misses Kong's front leg but catches the back leg as Kong tries to avoid it.
Kong stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A cross from Kong lands.
Holt gets caught flat footed, as Kong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Holt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kong off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kong throws a leg kick
and Holt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Holt throws a lazy head kick
letting Kong counter with a right hand.
Kong scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Kong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Holt moves away.

Holt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Holt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A solid leg kick lands there for Holt.
Kong fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Holt throws a head kick but Kong moves out of range.
Holt with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kong to score with a decent uppercut.
Kong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Holt circles away quickly and effectively.
Kong throws a hook to the side of Holt's head but Holt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A telegraphed right hand from Kong misses the target.

Kong shoots for a double leg takedown but Holt sprawls well. He's pushed Kong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Kong counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kong scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A head kick from Holt lands but Kong takes it in his stride.

Kong lands a nice shot that snaps Holt's head back.
Holt displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kong throws out the jab.
Kong is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Holt had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Kong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kong is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Kong connects with a solid leg kick.
Kong fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Holt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lee Holt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ibe Kong.

and Holt counters with a good low kick that Kong was not able to check.

Ibe Kong dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kong tries to land a front kick but Holt steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Kong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kong has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Nice uppercut lands for Kong. That snapped Holt's head back.
Kong is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Holt takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ibe Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kong ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Holt takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Kong throws a nice looking combination but Holt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Holt was covering up waiting for the punch and Kong finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Holt wants to stand and escape but Kong is having none of it.
Holt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kong on the ground.

Kong's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Holt takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Kong feints and as Holt raises his hands in defense, Kong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Holt is wriggling around but Kong manages to pass to half guard.
Holt pushes Kong off but Kong dives into side control.

Kong is chipping away with strikes.
Kong prevents Holt from escaping the position.
Kong has hold of Holt's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Holt tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kong cranks the arm and Holt screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Holt, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
