Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Blankenship (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Blaze will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaze has a takedown stuffed. Blaze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blankenship is fending him off so far but Blaze persists. Nope, Blankenship circles away and we're back to standing. Blaze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blankenship is fending him off so far but Blaze persists. Nope, Blankenship circles away and we're back to standing. Kenny Blankenship has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Blaze. Blaze will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Blaze shoots for a takedown but Blankenship saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Blaze fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Blankenship has his takedown stuffed and Blaze counters with a lovely straight right hand! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blankenship drives through and clinches with Blaze against the cage.
Blankenship tries to score a body lock takedown but Blaze shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Blaze tries for a takedown but Blankenship manages to get underhooks.
Blaze gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Blankenship.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blankenship had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blaze is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Blankenship Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blaze's back instead. Blaze just trying to survive but Blankenship is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Blankenship is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Blaze is defending well though. Blankenship let's go of the attempt for now. Blankenship is breathing heavily. Blaze just looking to survive in the bad position. Blaze trying to control the position but Blankenship manages to sink in the hooks. Blaze is trying to break free.
Blankenship is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Blaze is defending well though. Blankenship let's go of the attempt for now. Blaze really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blankenship. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Blaze is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blaze defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Blankenship's arms. I really don't envy Blaze right now.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blankenship sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Blaze taps out!
