Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Maloney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Snider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snider has chosen i can walk on water i can fly- basshunter as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maloney throws the left hand but Snider avoids the punch easily. Maloney connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Drake Snider has been cut. Maloney throws a right and a left that Snider avoids nicely. Snider gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Maloney throws out a loose jab but Snider uses good head movement to avoid it. Maloney clinches with his opponent.
Maloney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A short right from Maloney on the inside.
Snider is rocked! Snider wants to break free but Maloney has control.
Snider is still on wobbly legs! Can Maloney finish him? Snider tries to land knees in the clinch but Maloney avoids the damage to the body. Snider seems to have recovered his senses. Maloney manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Maloney lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Snider takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Maloney taking a breather. Snider has Maloney pressed against the cage, preventing Maloney from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Maloney stalling the fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Maloney is looking to break free of the clinch but Snider has double underhooks. Snider prevents Maloney from breaking the clinch. A short left from Maloney. Maloney stalls. Snider stalling in the clinch but Maloney improves position. Snider can't break the clinch.
Maloney wants to get back to striking at distance but Snider won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Snider darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Maloney controlling the position well. Maloney wants to improve his position but Snider is controlling well.

Snider fails in his attempt to clinch. Maloney misses with a hook. Snider ducked under it nicely. Snider tries to clinch up but Maloney circles away and keeps his distance. Maloney fails with the takedown and Snider counters with a takedown into side control. Snider taking a breather here. Let's hope that Snider has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. You can see the frustration on Maloney's face as Snider controls the position. You can see the frustration on Maloney's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Snider works to advance to full mount. Maloney defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Drake Snider showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Drake Snider's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Maloney throws a leg kick but Snider moved away. Maloney works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Maloney misses with a takedown attempt and Snider counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Maloney! Snider takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Snider tries to control but Maloney wriggling away. Maloney is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Maloney is working hard here to advance position. Maloney wants to control but Snider is having none of it. Snider controlling the position easily from mount. Maloney on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Maloney tries to get out of the position.

Maloney's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Maloney throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Snider colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Maloney as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Snider is left battered and dazed whilst Maloney and his camp cheer!
