Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Christmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Duvernay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christmas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Doomsday Was Written in an Alien Bible. Vincent Christmas has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raymond Duvernay! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christmas throws out a loose jab but Duvernay uses good head movement to avoid it. Christmas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Christmas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duvernay manages to avoid it. Duvernay throws a head kick that misses. Christmas loads up on a big right hand but Duvernay slips the punch. Nice takedown defense from Duvernay. No joy for Christmas on that attempt. Duvernay looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Christmas blocks a head kick by Duvernay.
Duvernay connects with a high kick. Duvernay throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Christmas shoots in for a double leg but Duvernay sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Christmas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Christmas passes the guard and advances to mount! Christmas landing punches. Christmas raining down shots from the mount! Christmas putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christmas looking to control but Duvernay is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duvernay taking shots to the head. Duvernay wants to control but Christmas is having none of it. BOOM! Christmas connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Christmas has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Duvernay's face.
Duvernay tries to get back to half guard but can't. Christmas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Duvernay is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duvernay wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Christmas lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Duvernay hang on? Christmas is landing with some decent strikes but Duvernay is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Christmas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Christmas is working for a guillotine from mount but Duvernay frees his head quite easily.
Duvernay regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duvernay tries to sprawl out of it but Christmas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Duvernay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Duvernay throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Christmas's head. Duvernay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Christmas fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Duvernay looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Duvernay thuds a left hand into Christmas's body. Christmas loads up on a big right hand but Duvernay slips the punch. Duvernay stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duvernay wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A telegraphed right hand from Christmas misses the target. Christmas closes the distance and clinches up with Duvernay, looking for a takedown. Christmas pushes Duvernay against the cage but Duvernay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Christmas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Christmas lands with a nice body punch. A looping hook to the body misses from Duvernay. Christmas does a little dance to reset his feet. Duvernay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A jab lands there for Christmas. Duvernay throws a sloppy head kick and Christmas moves out of range easily. No damage this time. Christmas landing with the ground and pound. Duvernay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Christmas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Duvernay trying to control the position.

Christmas tries to circle away but Duvernay has him pinned against the cage. Duvernay looking to slow down the pace here. Christmas tries to break free but Duvernay pushes him back against the cage. Christmas stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Duvernay has Christmas pressed against the cage, preventing Christmas from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Christmas is trying to force a seperation but Duvernay has the dominant position. Christmas can't break the clinch.
Christmas wants to get back to striking at distance but Duvernay won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Christmas's face as he tries to break the clinch. Christmas stalls. Duvernay wants to stall.
Duvernay jumps guard but Christmas stands there with Duvernay around his waist. Duvernay gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Duvernay wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Christmas has him pressed against the cage. Christmas is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Christmas effectively controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Vincent Christmas will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Raymond Duvernay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Christmas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Duvernay gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duvernay wants to stand but Christmas is controlling his arm. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Horrible takedown by Christmas or perhaps it was just good defense by Duvernay which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Christmas. Christmas is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A left and a right from Christmas both land. Nice combination. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Duvernay. Christmas shrugs it off though. Duvernay doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Christmas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duvernay makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Duvernay. Christmas thows a big elbow that misses. Duvernay wants to get back to his feet but Christmas is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Duvernay tries to strike from the bottom.
Christmas wants to pass the guard but Duvernay is keeping the position. Christmas is pushing down on Duvernay's leg trying to pass to half guard. Duvernay is fighting to maintain full guard but Christmas has managed to sneak the leg through. Vincent Christmas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Christmas is stalling here. Duvernay is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Christmas seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Duvernay has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Christmas misses the shot to the body. Duvernay takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Christmas lands the left hand. Duvernay closes this distance looking for a takedown but Christmas circles away. Vincent Christmas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Christmas swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Duvernay. Christmas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Christmas lands with a shot to the body. Duvernay takes one on the button. Raymond Duvernay has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A jab lands there for Christmas. Christmas changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Raymond Duvernay comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Christmas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
