Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gonzo Bunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Persius Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzo Bunga has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Gonzo Bunga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Persius Masters!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bunga shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Bunga looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bunga is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Masters defends it well.

Bunga seems to be looking for submissions.
Bunga is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Bunga is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Masters sees it coming and defends easily.
Masters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bunga. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bunga is looking for a kimura here.

Bunga tries to pass to full mount but Masters defends it.
Masters has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bunga is working away from the top position though.
Masters tries to get to full guard but Bunga has control of the leg.

Bunga seems to be working for a kimura but Masters defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bunga is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bunga is breathing heavily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Masters shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Masters was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Masters lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bunga is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bunga on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bunga tries to get out of the position.
Bunga takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Masters lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bunga sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Masters is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Nice strikes from Masters there.
Bunga has hold of Masters's hands but Masters slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
It looks like Masters is going to stand back up.

Masters seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bunga does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bunga looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Masters looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Masters wants to control from the top but Bunga keeps moving.

Masters got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bunga has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Masters has managed to get both his arms back between Bunga's legs - danger averted.
Masters with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Masters thows a big elbow that misses.

Bunga has his foot on Masters's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Masters works his way back into a safe position though.
Masters would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bunga utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bunga working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Masters doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bunga is tightening it up a little... Masters has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Masters reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Masters taps out! nice BJJ there by Bunga!
