Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Riku Myllyla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jari Nurmelainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jari Nurmelainen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myllyla fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Myllyla misses with the combination.
Nurmelainen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Myllyla as he avoids it easily.
Myllyla rushes Nurmelainen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nurmelainen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Myllyla can't break the clinch.
Myllyla goes for a takedown in the clinch but Nurmelainen prevents it.

Nurmelainen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Myllyla's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Riku Myllyla will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Myllyla throws a big right hand that misses.
Myllyla wants to get up but he can't break Nurmelainen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A combination from Myllyla does no damage.
Myllyla throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Nurmelainen on the side of the head.
