Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ashley Csontos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Assar Spjut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Assar Spjut!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spjut throws a hook but Csontos blocks it.
Spjut misses with the combination.
Spjut tries to clinch up.

Csontos darts in and clinches Spjut up against the cage.

Csontos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Spjut gets the takedown into side control.
Csontos is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Csontos decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Spjut, up you get!

Csontos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Spjut closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Spjut throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Csontos was covering up waiting for the punch and Spjut finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Csontos wants to stand and escape but Spjut is having none of it.

Spjut stands and steps away. Csontos gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Csontos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Spjut counters with a left and a right that stings Csontos.

Spjut tries to close the distance and clinch but Csontos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Spjut rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Csontos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Csontos slaps away a takedown attempt from Spjut, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A frustrated look appears on Csontos's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Csontos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Spjut shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Csontos manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well Spjut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
