Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abel Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Chokespear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abel Harris has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Abel Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, William Chokespear!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Harris misses.

Chokespear fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Harris sprawls well initially but Chokespear persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris tries to kick Chokespear off in order to stand up. Chokespear Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Harris is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chokespear asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Harris tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chokespear wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Harris manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chokespear's best efforts.

Harris wants to get back to his feet but Chokespear is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Harris holds on and takes a little breather.

Harris wants to stand but Chokespear is controlling the position.
Harris is pulling down on Chokespear's head. It's preventing any offense from Chokespear, at least for the moment.
Chokespear must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Harris has control of Chokespear's left arm, preventing Chokespear from doing any damage.
Harris lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chokespear!
Chokespear wants to control but Harris is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chokespear is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's time! Harris's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Chokespear changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Harris tries to avoid it but Chokespear manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Harris to the ground. Harris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Harris loads up on a big right hand but Chokespear slips the punch.
Harris swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Harris looks to land a left hand but Chokespear moved out of range nicely.
Chokespear uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Harris.
Abel Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Chokespear is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harris is just riding it out for now. Chokespear eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Harris wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Harris is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chokespear is in trouble now - Harris has advanced to mount!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Harris looks to land a left hand but Chokespear moved out of range nicely.

Chokespear takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Chokespear tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harris swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Abel Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Chokespear.

Horrible takedown by Chokespear or perhaps it was just good defense by Harris which made him look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chokespear takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Chokespear with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Harris to score with a decent uppercut.

William Chokespear is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Chokespear ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Harris defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chokespear.
Harris lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Harris misses with an uppercut. Chokespear saw that one coming.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Chokespear.

Chokespear bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Chokespear takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
William Chokespear has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!


William Chokespear's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Harris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
