Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between KAIYA GIVENS (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudi Voller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GIVENS clinches up with Voller and pushes him back against the cage.
GIVENS tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Voller smiles and moves away.
Voller throws a right and a left that GIVENS avoids nicely.

so GIVENS counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Voller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Voller trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Voller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
GIVENS has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

GIVENS might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A solid leg kick lands there for GIVENS.
KAIYA GIVENS is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and GIVENS decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Voller's guard.

GIVENS throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Voller's waist but Voller gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing GIVENS off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Voller decides to stand and escape the position.

and GIVENS counters with a one-two to the body.
GIVENS wants to clinch up but Voller keeps it at a distance.
GIVENS changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Voller tries to avoid it but GIVENS manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Voller to the ground. Voller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Voller closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

I've got Voller winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
