Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mikko Kiviniemi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiviniemi avoids a kick to the body.
Jones tries to clinch but Kiviniemi moves out of range.

Kiviniemi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kiviniemi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jones wants to control from the top but Kiviniemi keeps moving.
Jones stands and throws Kiviniemi's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kiviniemi gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kiviniemi has managed to free his arm - good work.

Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kiviniemi gets full guard.
Kiviniemi keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kiviniemi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jones drops back looking for a leg! Kiviniemi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kiviniemi manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Kiviniemi's guard.

Kiviniemi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Kiviniemi sprawls well.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Kiviniemi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mikko Kiviniemi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kiviniemi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kiviniemi misses with a takedown

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Kiviniemi fights it but they end up in guard.

Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Kiviniemi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jones winds up and cracks Kiviniemi with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kiviniemi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily.

Jon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
