Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Ribiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalepo Tasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tasi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Godsmack- Keep Away. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tasi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tasi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ribiero is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tasi, into his guard. Ribiero throwing strikes from guard but Tasi blocks nicely. Ribiero trying to control the position from guard on top but Tasi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tasi wants to sweep here but Ribiero controlling him for the moment. Tasi keeping moving, preventing Ribiero from controlling successfully. Ribiero in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tasi keeping full guard, as Ribiero tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribiero drops back looking for a leg! Tasi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tasi manages to kick Ribiero off! Ribiero jumps back into Tasi's guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Tasi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ribiero tries to improve position but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ribiero is not content to let Tasi control the position. Tasi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ribiero kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. You can see the frustration on Ribiero's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tasi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ribiero knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tasi is looking to take a break and control but Ribiero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Tasi is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ribiero's shoulder. That is not cool.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ribiero drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tasi is trying to get back to half guard. Tasi manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ribiero's best efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribiero wants to get back to his feet.
Tasi tries to roll over but Ribiero keeps him under control. Tasi preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Ribiero thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ribiero seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tasi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ribiero is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tasi sees it coming and defends easily. Tasi moves into full guard.
Ribiero is breathing heavily. Tasi keeping moving, preventing Ribiero from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tasi pulls Ribiero in to control the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ribiero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tasi wants to sweep but no luck. Tasi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tasi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ribiero passes into half guard.
Tasi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ribiero. Tasi gets back to full guard.
Ribiero wants to control from the top but Tasi keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kalepo Tasi dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tasi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tasi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tasi wants to control from the top but Ribiero keeps moving. Tasi has gone for a leg lock! Ribiero slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tasi's guard. Ribiero would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribiero trying to control but Tasi is working from the bottom. Tasi is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ribiero throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tasi's body to avoid the submission. Tasi has instead reached around Ribiero's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tasi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kalepo Tasi!
