Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Pych (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pych's entrance music is Pokaż. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Pych!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Melvin Manhoef!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manhoef throws a series of strikes that have Pych backpedaling.
Manhoef turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pych shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Manhoef as he jumps to the side.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Manhoef keeps the fight on the outside.

Pych shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Manhoef is trying to defend but Pych finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Manhoef wants to get back to his feet.
Pych wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Manhoef uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Pych stops Manhoef from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Manhoef keeping moving, preventing Pych from controlling successfully.
Manhoef wants to stand up but Pych is controlling him.

Pych gets to his feet. Manhoef looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Pych darts in and clinches Manhoef up against the cage.

Manhoef pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Manhoef misses with the combination.
Manhoef tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pych paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pych fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Manhoef sprawls well initially but Pych persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Pych gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Melvin Manhoef is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pych is breathing heavily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Manhoef, right into the meat.
Manhoef stuffs the takedown attempt from Pych. Pych gets slowly back to his feet.
Manhoef stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Manhoef keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Pych avoids a punch combination nicely.

Manhoef clinches.
Manhoef works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Manhoef escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Manhoef pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Manhoef clinches up against the cage.
Manhoef is trying to break the clinch but Pych is controlling him.
Manhoef looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Manhoef breaks from the clinch.
Manhoef throws a nice looking combination but Pych bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Pych looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Manhoef!

Pych jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Manhoef is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Manhoef and Pych has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
An elbow from Pych crashes against the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pych trying to control the position but Manhoef is working away.

Pych tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pych in side control, throwing shots but Manhoef defends.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Melvin Manhoef dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Pych misses with a takedown attempt - Manhoef sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Pych looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Manhoef is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pych is standing up over Manhoef. Manhoef looks to escape but Pych dives into side control.
Pych wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manhoef keeps working.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Manhoef is looking to regain half guard here but Pych keeps moving and retains side control.
Pych trying to control the action but Manhoef is working from the bottom.
Manhoef is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pych asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pych working away.

Pych stands up.
Pych tries for a takedown but Manhoef sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pych tries to clinch
and Manhoef counters with a slapping leg kick.
Pych shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Manhoef as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Piotr Pych. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pych tries to clinch up but Manhoef circles away and keeps his distance.
Manhoef works over Pych's head and body with a nice combination.

Manhoef moves into the clinch.

Manhoef breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Manhoef fails to land with a series of punches.
Manhoef stalks Pych and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pych's face. Pych staggers backwards, shaken.
Pych stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Manhoef.
Pych fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pych swats away the attempt to clinch by Manhoef.

Pych looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Manhoef!
You get the feeling that Manhoef really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pych get's back to his feet.
Pych changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Manhoef tries to avoid it but Pych manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Manhoef to the ground. Manhoef escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Manhoef rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pych moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pych keeps the fight on the outside.

Pych has Manhoef up against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Manhoef gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Pych fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pych jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Manhoef walks away with a smile on his face. Pych gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Pych takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Piotr Pych will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Manhoef fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pych swats away the attempt to clinch by Manhoef.
Manhoef moves in looking to clinch but Pych pushes him off.
Some wild striking there from Pych.
A slapping leg kick lands for Pych.

Pych throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Manhoef was covering up waiting for the punch and Pych finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pych trying to control but Manhoef is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pych stopping the sweep attempt from Manhoef.
Pych chips away with some ground and pound.

Pych stands up and waves to Manhoef to follow him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pych closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pych is looking to break free of the clinch but Manhoef has double underhooks.

Pych gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Manhoef is not content to let Pych control the position.
Manhoef is trying to stand up here but Pych is controlling him well.
Manhoef trying to control but Pych postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pych performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Pych is working for a submission of some sort.
Pych stops Manhoef from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pych is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Manhoef is defending against the submission attempts here by Pych.

And that's the end of the fight!
Piotr Pych showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Pych has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
